The spirit of the past lives on.

Living at 1075 Market puts you in the middle of the historic Theater District. Built in 1912, “ Grauman’s Imperial Theater” occupied the original site, featuring popular Vaudeville acts. Over time the venue became a movie theater and ultimately, a colorful spot for live dancing.

The spirit of the past lives on.

When the original stained glass window was uncovered at the property, the developer contacted the Theater Historical Society and confirmed the historical significance of it. This stained glass has since been carefully restored and is now a key feature of the lobby.

The building façade features a large-scale public art display, created by local artist, Daniel Hopper. His art piece was inspired by the original building marquee, which promoted the Imperial Theater’s latest performance. The building was designed by great local talent, featuring architecture by Levy Design Partners and landscape design by Chris Ford Landscape Architecture.
